Today I interviewed my management professor in an attempt to discover what things a class website needs. We talked in comparison a lot about blackboard. These were some of her points. One thing she mentioned was that it can be a hassle posting something on blackboard and then separately emailing the class. This could be simplified by having the website automatically notify via email everyone in the class. She also believed that the gradebook they use could be simpler and easier to use. Another idea we talked about was having a page for links to websites that could help students with fields related to what they are studying. Finally, she thought it would be nice if all the pages that were not used were just removed. She does, however, like the ability to post documents and powerpoints so this would be something to have on our created website.
